Petpooja is a till that grows outwards — the register comes first and your own ordering channel is an add-on with an unpublished price. Devfood is the other way round: four connected apps, your branded iOS and Android apps and multi-language included, at a published rupee price, with the register, kitchen screen and kiosk as optional add-ons when you want them.
Petpooja is an India-based restaurant POS company. Its Poss product is a cloud billing and inventory system sold in three plans (Core, Growth, Scale) with a long add-on list — a restaurant website with an online ordering widget, a kitchen display, a self-service kiosk, a captain app, token management, Zomato/Swiggy reconciliation and Tally integration among them. It states a 150k+ business installed base on its home page and lists 30+ countries, and it publishes no plan prices: "Local pricing may vary based on your region & currency. Contact us for accurate, localized rates."
How this page is written
Every Petpooja cell below states only what Petpooja publishes on its own website — no review-site figures, no analyst
numbers. Where they publish nothing, the cell says not published rather than claiming the feature is missing.
The pages we read and the date we read them are at the bottom, so you can check any row yourself in one click.

Scorecard:
4 to Devfood, 4 to Petpooja, 7 level — by our own reading of the 15 criteria above. Read
the rows, not the tally.
1. Driver app & auto-dispatch —
Petpooja spells the first rider partner "Duzno" on its online-order-management page; the company is generally known as Dunzo. The cell keeps the vendor’s spelling.
Their Case
When
Petpooja
Is the Better Choice
We would rather you buy the right thing than buy ours. These are the cases where that is not us.
Zomato and Swiggy are most of your orders
Petpooja pulls Swiggy, Zomato and Dineout orders into one POS screen and sells Zomato/Swiggy reconciliation as an add-on. Devfood builds your own channel and does not ingest aggregator orders, so if the marketplaces are your volume and you want one screen for all of it, Petpooja is built for that and we are not.
You want the till, the hardware and the Indian back office from one vendor
Petpooja is a POS first — unlimited terminals, inventory, an 80-report pack, a kiosk with its own hardware and onsite warranty, Tally and e-invoice add-ons. If your first purchase is a register with GST-shaped accounting behind it, that is Petpooja’s home ground; our register and kitchen screen are optional add-ons to an ordering platform.
You already run Petpooja and only want a website
Their website and online ordering widget bolt onto a POS you already have, with the menu managed from the POS. Devfood syncs two-way with Clover, Square and Toast and not with Petpooja, so adding us to a Petpooja till means a second menu to keep in step.
Our Case
When
Devfood
Is the Better Choice
You want your own apps in the stores, at a price you can read
Devfood publishes its India price — ₹2,100 a month for one to three locations — and that price includes branded iOS and Android apps, the customer web storefront, the restaurant app and the driver app. Petpooja publishes no price and no branded customer app.
You deliver with your own riders
The driver app with live GPS and distance/load/vehicle auto-dispatch is in the base plan. Petpooja names rider-management integrations but no driver app of its own.
You are a cloud kitchen, a café or a franchise that needs ordering first
If the counter is small or shared and the order comes in on a phone, you do not need a register on day one. Devfood starts with the four apps and lets you add the POS, kitchen display or kiosk later, quoted separately, when the floor needs them.
Questions
Devfood vs Petpooja
FAQ
Does Petpooja publish its prices?
Not at the time of checking. petpooja.com/poss/pricing names three plans — Core, Growth and Scale — and a list of add-ons, and says "Local pricing may vary based on your region & currency. Contact us for accurate, localized rates." Devfood publishes its India price on /pricing in rupees.
Can I keep Petpooja POS and use Devfood for ordering?
You can run both, but they will not sync: Devfood’s POS integrations are Clover, Square and Toast. A Devfood order reaches your kitchen through the restaurant app, kitchen ticket printing or the optional kitchen display, not through Petpooja. If the Petpooja till is staying, budget for keeping two menus aligned.
Does Devfood take Zomato or Swiggy orders?
No. Devfood is your own channel — website, apps and delivery under your brand — and it is priced flat so the orders you move off the aggregators stop costing a percentage. Petpooja integrates the aggregators into its POS and sells reconciliation for them; if you want that consolidation, it is a genuine reason to choose Petpooja.
