Frequently Asked Questions

Everything food businesses ask before launching with Devfood — setup, pricing, payments, and the apps themselves. Still unsure? We're a message away.

Getting Started

How quickly can I launch?

Your branded web ordering can go live in a matter of days. Native iOS and Android apps go live once the respective app stores approve them — typically a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the store’s review queue. We handle the build and submission for you.

Can I use my own branding?

Yes — Devfood is fully white-label. Your logo, colours, and app name are used across the customer, restaurant, and driver apps and the admin dashboard. Customers see your brand, not ours.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Monthly billing has no minimum term — start and cancel from the dashboard whenever you like. Paying annually gets you two months free and waives the setup fee, but it is a choice rather than a requirement.

Do I own my customer data?

Completely. Every order builds your own customer database — names, contact details, order history, and segments — which you fully own and can export. Unlike aggregators, we never rent your customers back to you.

Can I run a marketplace with other restaurants on it?

Not with Devfood, and it is better to hear that now. Devfood is for a brand that owns or operates its own kitchens — however many outlets that is, including several counters under one roof. If the vendors are independent businesses and you take a percentage of their sales, that is a marketplace: it needs vendor onboarding, per-vendor payouts and commission splitting, none of which Devfood has. SuperApp, built by our sister company Devkart, does exactly that and is priced per order rather than per location.

Pricing & Billing

Are there any additional costs I should plan for?

The app builds and their store publishing are included in your subscription. What is billed by third parties, not by us: an Apple Developer account (about $99/year), Google Maps API usage for addresses and live tracking, SMS/OTP verification (e.g. Twilio), and your payment gateway’s transaction fees. We help you set each of these up.

What currency is billing in?

In your own market’s currency, at a price set for that market rather than converted from a US list — the pricing page publishes the ladder for each one. Markets without a published row are quoted in US dollars at their band rate. Your customers pay you in your local currency through your own payment gateway, as before.

Do you charge a commission per order?

No. You pay a flat rate per location and keep 100% of every order, minus only your payment gateway’s own processing fee. Orders are unlimited: doubling your volume does not change your bill.

Do you offer App Store Optimization?

Yes. Our App Store Optimization add-on ($300 one-time) tunes your app store listings — titles, keywords, screenshots, and descriptions — so your apps are easier to find and more likely to convert.

Features

Which payment gateways do you support?

Devfood supports major gateways including Stripe, Finix and Paytrail, plus cash on delivery and in-app wallet payments. Availability varies by region — tell us where you operate and we’ll confirm the best options for you.

How many delivery zones can I create?

Zones are not capped by plan — draw as many as you need and set custom delivery fees, distance-based pricing, and minimum-order rules for each one.

Do you support multiple languages?

Yes. Devfood supports multi-language storefronts with real-time translation. For a fully localized experience across all your apps, multi-language storefronts are included in every subscription — there is no language pack to buy.

Technical & Support

What devices do the apps run on?

The customer app runs on the web, iOS, and Android. The restaurant app runs on web, iOS, and Android (great on a counter tablet). The driver app runs on iOS and Android. The admin dashboard is web-based and works on any modern browser.

What does Premium Support include?

Priority Support ($59/month) gives you priority access to our technical team for 12 hours a day, Monday to Saturday, including video calls — useful during launch and busy growth periods. Standard support is included with every plan.
