Why This Price

Set for the United Kingdom, Not Converted

Each market is priced against what its own category leader charges, never by converting the US figure. This is the evidence behind this row.

Who buys Devfood here

The UK buyer is typically a takeaway, a small restaurant group or a dark kitchen that already lives on the marketplaces and wants a direct channel with the same convenience for the customer — a branded app in the App Store, delivery tracking, loyalty — without a commission line. Devfood bills in pounds and prices the whole stack per site, which is the unit UK vendors quote in too.

Why band A

The United Kingdom is band A. Flipdish, which sells into the UK and Ireland, publishes a per-site subscription in pounds on its UK pricing page, which is the most direct local comparison in the category; Devfood sits under it with the branded app and unlimited orders in the base price rather than a tier up.

What the market's own vendors publish

Only what each vendor states on its own site, read on the date shown — no review-site figures. Where a vendor prints no price, the row says so rather than carrying a number from an older reading. Vendors change their pricing without announcing it; if a row no longer matches, tell us at contact@devfood.com.

  • Flipdish — Essential (UK)

From £119 a month per site billed annually, £139 a month billed monthly, both excluding VAT; transaction rates are described as transparent but not printed

  • UpMenu — Basic / Standard / Premium

Basic $49, Standard $89 and Premium $169 a month for one location, with the branded app a $49 a month add-on for each location

Pricing FAQ

Pricing in the United Kingdom, Plainly Explained

The questions food businesses in the United Kingdom ask us most about cost and billing.

What does Devfood cost in the UK?

£58 a month for one location, billed in pounds and stated before VAT. From your fourth site the whole account moves to £51 a month per site, and from your tenth to £43. Unlimited orders, no commission, native apps included.

Does the price cover the iOS and Android apps?

Yes — the build and the store publishing under your own brand are part of the subscription, not a higher tier. You hold the developer accounts, so the apps remain yours; Apple bills its own annual developer membership directly to you.

Can I keep my existing till?

If it is Clover, Square or Toast, orders sync two ways with it. If you would rather run one system, the Devfood POS register, kitchen display and self-order kiosk are optional add-ons quoted separately — they are never required to use the ordering platform.

Are you a single restaurant, or a marketplace operator?

It is the one question that decides whether Devfood is the right platform for you — and if the answer is the second one, we would rather say so now than three steps into a price list.

Single restaurant or small chain

You run your own brand and your own locations. You want customers to order from you — not from a marketplace you do not control.

Devfood — you are in the right place

Marketplace operator

You run a platform where many restaurants list and customers discover them through your app. You need multi-vendor routing, commissions, and operator tooling — not a per-location white-label stack.
